Our Christmas Wish by Davyhulme Primary!

We are so proud to see that the song written and performed by the digital leaders in our school is now available to download on iTunes and Google Play!

In the process of making the song, we decided to choose a charity for all the money made from the project to go to. After doing some research, we decided on the Save the Children charity. The children felt Christmas is a special time for children and wanted to make sure that every child can enjoy Christmas in a safe environment.

Everything with the project was created on an iPad, the artwork, song and video!

You can watch the video here and then download the song to try and help us get in the charts!

Thank you and have a wonderful Christmas!

Honey, I shrunk the class!

Today Year 3 had great fun creating movies where they had shrunk to the size of mice and had to explore the classroom. They created some fantastic pieces of writing that was then recorded over the top of the video. Here is one of their efforts –

Helping us understand Remembrance Day

This week we will be paying our respects to all the brave soldiers over the years who have died in different wars for our country. We would love children, parents and family members to contribute to our online Remembrance Day wall to make our thoughts and prayers more personal. Please share details or pictures of any family members we need to remember this week. These will be shared and discussed with children this week, thank you!

Bonfire Artwork!

Year 3 had fun creating typography artwork based on Bonfire Night!

Travelling back in time for our next topic!

After half term, Year 3 will be looking at Ancient Egypt. Class 3B today jumped on board the Delorean to create a comic strip as their topic front cover. Using the app Book Creator and Pic Collage they create a story where they travelled back to Ancient Egypt!
